Skill-Builder Workshop with Jake- Throwing Drills for Almost All Levels

The basics A single afternoon workshop Thursday, July 16, 2026 2-4pm Participants should be able to confidently center to get the most from this session. Description Want to get better at throwing? Drill sergeant Jake will be on duty to take you through your paces with a variety of practice drills that will help you learn to throw more efficiently. We'll provide plenty of clay clay, and this will be time to just get through a lot of practice. This will be a very active session. Don't plan on keeping any pieces from this session; it's just time to practice. What does the fee include? Clay will be provided and is included in the cost of the workshop, but the fee does NOT include firing fees, as the goal of the session is to practice, rather than to finish a piece. Participants who wish to practice with a particular clay body (the studio will provide reclaimed clay) are encouraged to bring their own clay. Members should log in to receive a discount. The studio is part of a larger complex at The Mill at South River. Students will be provided with specific directions (including code for the gate, which you need after 6pm) before the first class.
