Join us monthly for a delicious book club where we will each craft a dish and explore new flavors!
America's 250th birthday is approaching so for June's meeting we'll use recipes from Baking Across America: A Vintage Recipe Road Trip by B. Dylan Hollis.
How does it work?
Step 1: Choose your recipe. Cookbooks will be available to pick-up at the Children's Desk up to one month before the program meets.
Step 2: RSVP with your recipe selection. Email Ashley DePaolis at adepaolis@cheshirect.gov or call 203-272-2245 ext.33027 to let us know which dish you'll be bringing. This helps to prevent too many duplicates from appearing and allows us to make copies of each recipe available.
Step 3: Prepare your dish.
Step 4: Bring your dish to the meeting to share with the group. We'll share delicious food and our thoughts on the cookbook!
Teens grades 6-12
Registration Required
Plates, napkins, cutlery and water will be provided. Please bring your own cake server, spoon, tongs, or whatever else you may need to portion out your food. It is not necessary to double or triple your recipe - this is a tasting event and there are almost always leftovers to take home!
Food served at this program will be prepared in home kitchens. Participation in this program is at your own risk. Library staff cannot guarantee that food served at this program has not come into contact with or does not contain various common food allergens.
