Details:
Pennon Education is excited to host summer camps with unique experiences that focus on content creation and STEAM – science, technology, engineering, the arts and math – in our Innovation Studio and Digital Creator Studio.
These small-group summer camps are the best way for your camper to engage in STEAM concepts and career exploration through hands-on learning with highly qualified educators and professional content creators!
You don’t have to live in Harrisburg to attend these camps – Slide into Summer Camps are open to all students in Central Pennsylvania who are entering 2nd and 3rd grade.
Cost: $135/week for half day (morning or afternoon) or $270/week for full day
Campers who are enrolled in both morning and afternoon camps are invited to pack a lunch and remain at the Public Media Center with the teachers during the lunch hour.
Morning: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Passport to Adventure!
Campers can embark on a playful journey of discovery. Each day brings new adventures inspired by exploring far-off places, meeting new cultures, and imagining what it’s like to be a world traveler. Campers will set off on playful journeys that encourage exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Whether they’re discovering new “destinations,” diving into hands-on projects, or experimenting with coding. Through games, stories, and interactive experiences, kids will collect “memories” in their passports while building curiosity, friendship, and a sense of exploration.
Afternoon: 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. | Weather Wonders Week
Explore the amazing world of weather! In this exciting camp, young scientists will dive into the wonders of weather as we explore the new PBS KIDS® show Weather Hunters to discover fascinating weather phenomena. Campers will step into the role of a meteorologist, learning how the forces of nature work together to shape our skies and our planet. Throughout the week, they will observe, ask questions, and discover patterns and changes in the weather around them. Campers will also have the unique opportunity to report on the weather in our Digital Creator Studio, bringing science and storytelling together in a fun, hands-on way. By the end of the week, they will see the world in a whole new way, full of curiosity, wonder, and discovery.
Summer Camp Scholarships are available to eligible families. Contact jennifer_eley@pennon.org.
