Pennon Education is excited to host summer camps with unique experiences that focus on content creation and STEAM – science, technology, engineering, the arts and math – in our Public Media Center.
These small-group summer camps are the best way for your camper to engage in STEAM concepts and career exploration through hands-on learning with highly qualified educators and professional content creators!
You don’t have to live in Harrisburg to attend these camps – Slide into Summer Camps are open to all students in Central Pennsylvania who are entering 2nd and 3rd grade.
Cost: $135/week for half day (morning or afternoon) or $270/week for full day
Campers who are enrolled in both morning and afternoon camps are invited to pack a lunch and remain at the Public Media Center with the teachers during the lunch hour.
Morning: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Maker Masters
Step into the world of engineering and innovation! In this exciting camp, young creators will explore how engineers use imagination, problem-solving, and teamwork to design and build the structures that shape our world. Through hands-on exploration, campers will discover the connection between science, math, and creativity as they think like real engineers to plan, test, and improve their designs. By the end of the week, campers will gain confidence as inventors and builders—ready to take on any challenge with curiosity and big ideas!
Afternoon: 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. | The Science of Art
Discover how creativity and curiosity come together in exciting ways. Campers will explore the connections between artistic expression and scientific thinking as they step into imaginative storylines that encourage observation, experimentation, and collaboration. Through playful activities, they’ll learn how ideas can be transformed into motion and how simple materials can bring stories to life. Each day builds confidence as students practice problem solving, communication, and creative design, all while experiencing the wonder of art and science working hand in hand.
Summer Camp Scholarships are available to eligible families. Contact jennifer_eley@pennon.org.
