Birth & Beyond: A Postpartum Support Circle is a welcoming, baby-friendly gathering for parents navigating the first year after birth. This circle offers space to share birth stories, process the emotional and physical realities of postpartum, and connect with others who understand this profound season of change. Whether your birth experience felt empowering, complicated, joyful, or heavy, you are welcome here — with your baby in your arms and your story exactly as it is.
Facilitated by by Cassandra Leadbeater, IBCLC, owner of The Nurtured Bond, this circle is held with warmth, knowledge, and deep respect for each family’s unique journey. Cassy brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the space, drawing from her background in nursing, nutrition, and maternal-child health, as well as her own path through the challenges of breastfeeding and early parenthood. As founder of the South Central PA Breastfeeding Coalition and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, she offers thoughtful guidance when helpful while honoring the power of shared experience among parents.
Whether you are still processing your birth experience, navigating feeding challenges, adjusting to the emotional shifts of new parenthood, or simply looking for connection during your baby’s first year, this circle offers a place to land. Parents who are in the thick of those early months will find reassurance and understanding from others walking a similar road, while those further along can reflect, share wisdom, and witness how growth unfolds over time. Because the journey after birth is rarely simple — and no parent should have to walk it alone.
This connection circle is free or donation based, brought to you by The Nest of Pennsylvania, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit benefitting parents and caregivers in Central PA. We use Community-Supported Ticketing so everyone can attend regardless of financial circumstances. You can contribute from $0 and up, based on what feels accessible. When you do give, you help keep our programs open to all—but coming as you are is enough. Registration is encouraged as space is limited (please cancel if you can no longer attend, leaving room for more families).
The meeting will take place at Clear Path Pediatric Therapy on 4819 E Trindle Rd, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Please enter through the back lower doors. We will be meeting in the lower lobby area, with use of the sensory gym, nursing room and bathroom on the same floor.
