The Penn State Extension Forestry and Wildlife Team, in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry, and Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, is hosting the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Agroforestry Conference focusing on Forest Farming and Multifunctional Buffers.
This in-person event will give agroforesters, forest landowners, new and beginning farmers, and conservation professionals insight into the state of agroforestry, products and marketing approaches, and case studies from practitioners.
The conference will be held June 4–5, 2026, at the Special Events Building, Ag Progress Days site in Pennsylvania Furnace, PA. The two-day event will have a variety of programs, with a mixture of presentations, panels, tours, workshops, and networking opportunities, designed to build connections across the agroforestry networks and build on knowledge to expand accessibility, productivity, and sustainability.
Conference speakers will include industry professionals and fellow producers who will cover topics from finding funding and scaling up to farm planning and in-field successes and failures.
