Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center Open House

Join us for the Richard S. “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center Open House at Oakwoods Nature Preserve, where the Discovery Center will be open for visitation from 10 AM to 4 PM. Visitors of all ages can participate in a variety of unstructured and structured activities, including bird watching through the Windows on Wildlife, exploring mounted and live animal displays, enjoying nature videos, and reading field guides and nature books. Engage with touch tables and puppets, and view seasonal displays and exhibits. A Program Department staff member or volunteer will be available to answer questions throughout the event. From 10 AM to 12 PM, Program Specialist Tim Kleman will also be on hand for a special tasting of tea made from edible plants. This event is free, and registration is not required.
