Details:
Join us for "Birding at Eliza Howell Park," a welcoming bird walk designed for beginning birders of all ages. Regardless of your experience level, you are invited to explore this excellent birding location with us. We’ll traverse the park’s paved, gravel, and woodland trails, observing local birds such as American Robins and Blue Jays, as well as trying to identify less familiar species like Cedar Waxwings and Gray Catbirds. Fall offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature! We will gather near the colorful trail entrance to the woods, and the event will be led by Kathy Garrett. Thanks to grants from the Gilbert Family Foundation and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, we can offer this field trip at a reduced cost. Families with children under 5 can participate for free. Consider becoming a member of the Detroit Bird Alliance for $50 to receive a discounted rate and our bi-monthly e-newsletter, Flyway Express. All are welcome to embark on this birding journey!
