Details:
Join us for a special evening, which is free for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. During this event, the Museum will be made more welcoming to our more sensitive guests, along with having some quiet corners and sensory bins set-up throughout the facility. Children will be able to choose what activities they would like to participate in and do them at whatever time they feel most comfortable within the two-hour time frame. Documentation of diagnosis is not required.
Bubble Fun with special guests the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra
What fun we will have spending a summer evening playing with bubbles! Experiment with different shaped wands; make a bubble snake blower or a bubble print; and try being one of the Museum’s famous “Kids in a Bubble!”
In addition, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra String Trio, featuring concertmaster Stephan Tieszen, will perform classical favorites and new Americana music designed especially for young and new audiences. See how music is made through the use of the Spectrometer and watch how sound travels throughout the space!
Free to attend. Pre-registration is required below. Documentation of diagnosis is not required.
