Details:
The AREA Intern Program is a summer series designed to help interns and college students connect with local business leaders while exploring the opportunities the Ames region has to offer. By immersing interns and college students in a variety of professional development experiences, we hope to inspire them to consider staying in the AREA as they begin their careers. Thanks to our Workforce Sponsors, events are free to attend, but registration is required. This program was previously known as “See Yourself In Ames.”
In this session, interns will learn key business etiquette skills presented by Amy Doyle, Executive Director of Mind & Spirit Counseling Center.
Following the presentation, interns will participate in small-group roundtable discussions with local business leaders from a variety of industries. These conversations provide the opportunity to:
Ask questions about career paths
Learn what employers look for in young professionals
Gain insights about working and growing a career in the Ames region
It’s a chance to gain practical skills while building relationships with leaders who are invested in the next generation of talent.
