Details:
Join us for an exciting evening of creativity at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, where you can choose between two engaging pottery experiences: **Raku Night** and **Date Night Wheel**.
**Raku Night** offers a thrilling opportunity to fire your own pottery in a Raku kiln. This unique process involves removing red-hot pots from the kiln and placing them in combustible materials to produce stunning colorful and iridescent effects. Participants will create two pots from bisqued vases and bowls, enjoying the hands-on glazing process. Please remember to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes suitable for getting dirty! The class is open to ages 18 and up, with a limit of 6 students per session. The cost is $75 per person, and refunds (minus credit card fees) are available up to 7 days before the class.
On the other hand, **Date Night Wheel** invites couples to share a memorable evening of pottery on the wheel, inspired by George Ohr, the “Mad Potter of Biloxi.” This beginner-friendly class provides hands-on experience, with step-by-step guidance to create two unique ceramic pots. Attendees should dress comfortably for a fun and slightly messy experience. This class is also for ages 18 and up, with a limit of 10 students, priced at $48 per person. As with Raku Night, refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the event.
Whichever experience you choose, both sessions promise creativity, fun, and lasting memories!
