**Event Description: TKU: Leadership Lab - Gorge**

Join Trailkeepers of Oregon (TKO) for the Leadership Lab, a mandatory training session for new Assistant Crew Leaders (ACLs) designed to enhance leadership skills and promote a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).

The event will take place at Ainsworth State Park Day Use area on Thursday, July 16th, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The morning session will focus on leadership development exercises, policy overviews, and inter-crew communication procedures, while the afternoon will combine light trail work with scenario training to practice feedback and incident response skills. Participation in the DEIB online training from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM is required and will be conducted via Zoom. If you cannot attend, please contact an organizer for alternatives.

Crew Leaders for this event include Carl B, Krysti W, and Matt R, with a maximum crew size of 15 participants. Hike details include a distance of less than 1.5 miles and an elevation gain of under 300 feet, categorized as low intensity for both work and hiking.

Participants should come prepared with plenty of water, snacks/lunch, work gloves, any necessary medications, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Sturdy boots and appropriate clothing are required, while TKO will provide tools and personal protective equipment.
