Eagle Fern County Park--PDX (trail rehabilitation)

Project Information:
This trail at Eagle Fern park is across the road from the main body of the park, and has been very lightly used over the years, and poorly maintained. There are several switchbacks that need to be extended to decrease grade on the trail, and much tread reheabilitation needs to be done. There are several logs on the trail that need to be cut and removed.
Hiking information:
The trail is about half a mile in length. We’ll start at the trailhead and gradually work our way to the top. It is steep in some areas and the tread is uneven and in poor conditon at this time, as we begin this project.
You should plan to participate in this trail party for its entirety. For safety reasons, please do not arrive late or expect to be able to leave early.

What to bring:

Plenty of water
Snacks/lunch
Work gloves if you have them (loaner gloves available)
Any medications or emergency supplies you may need
Sunscreen + insect repellent
A pack to bring all of this with you on trail
TKO provides all tools and personal protective equipment (hard hats, gloves, glasses)

What to wear:

Boots (Please wear something sturdy that will protect your toes from sharp tools. Tennis shoes are not recommended. Open-toed shoes will not be allowed.)
