The Art of Phenology Workshop9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday May 16 or July 18Registration Required – registration opens April 1 at 9 am Join us for a creative workshop at Weir Farm National Historical Park to celebrate nature! Learn about phenology, the study of seasonal changes in plants and animals and create your own artistic Phenology Wheel and nature journal. Weir Farm Volunteer Naturalist, Jean Linville, will introduce phenology and give an overview of Weir Farm’s program. Then, Garden Crew Volunteer, Susan Stein, will guide you in creating an artistic Phenology Wheel so you can begin observing seasonal changes and practice the art of phenology! No experience is needed. This workshop is ideal for nature lovers, gardeners, bird watchers, journalers, and artists. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own art supplies.
