Details:
Thank you for your interest in the film screening of The Harvard 5. This event is sold out. There are still tickets available for Happy Hour from 4 to 7 pm. Register here. Join us for the first Happy Hour Fridays of the season, from 4 to 7 pm, followed by a special 7 pm screening of The Harvard 5 (directed by Devon Chivvis, World Life Productions) . The Harvard 5 tells the little-known story of five architects—Philip Johnson, John Johansen, Landis Gores, Eliot Noyes, and Marcel Breuer—visionaries who ignited a modern design revolution in the wake of WWII. Their avant-garde ideals and Bauhaus-inspired designs challenged local traditions and ultimately redefined American Modernism for the 20th century. Through exclusive interviews with family, clients, biographers, and never-before-seen archival footage, the documentary weaves together the personal and professional journeys of these design trailblazers. More info at www.worldlifeproductions.com. Q&A to follow the screening moderated by The Aldrich Executive Director Cybele Maylone featuring filmmaker Devon Chivvis and Bruce Becker, creator and owner of Hotel Marcel.
