Details:
Join us at the Upcountry History Museum from June 27, 2026, to January 24, 2027, for "Picturing America’s Pastime: Baseball," an exclusive exhibition organized by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. This remarkable showcase features fifty-one rarely seen photographs that capture the evolution of baseball from 1866 to 2012, accompanied by historic quotes and intriguing insights into the players and photographers. The exhibition pays tribute to baseball legends, including Upcountry South Carolina's own Shoeless Joe Jackson, and emphasizes the profound connection between baseball and photography.
In addition to the exhibition, the museum will host Family Fun Day, inspired by the PBS Kids series "Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum." Families can enjoy hands-on games, creative crafts, group storytimes, and a scavenger hunt, all while learning about real-life heroes who have made a difference. Admission is $14 for adults, $13 for seniors (65+) and college students, $10 for children (ages 3-18), and free for children under 2. The museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate the intersection of art, history, and America’s beloved pastime!
