- **Franklin: The First Black Peanuts Character (June 13 - November 1, 2026)**
Celebrate the groundbreaking introduction of Franklin, the first Black character in the beloved Peanuts comic strip, introduced by Charles M. Schulz on July 31, 1968. This national traveling exhibition explores Franklin's origins and impact, featuring archival materials, comic strips, and hands-on activities. Learn about the correspondence that prompted his inclusion, the storyline of Franklin meeting Charlie Brown, and the cultural significance of his character. Organized by the Charles M. Schulz Museum, this exhibition invites audiences of all ages to appreciate Franklin's lasting legacy. Admission prices are $14 for adults, $13 for seniors and college students, and $10 for children aged 3-18.

- **Upcountry Road to Freedom: Upstate South Carolina During the American Revolution (Ongoing)**
Discover the pivotal role of Upcountry South Carolina in the American Revolutionary War, focusing on the Southern Campaign from 1778 to 1781. This exhibition commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States by highlighting the diverse individuals and events that contributed to American independence. With over 135 military engagements in the state, the exhibition showcases historic artifacts and personal narratives from a variety of perspectives, including women, African Americans (both free and enslaved), indigenous peoples, and soldiers. Organized in partnership with Clemson University and private collectors, this major exhibition reveals the crucial yet often overlooked contributions of Upcountry South Carolina to the formation of the nation.

Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM; closed on Mondays. Admission for children under 2 is free.
