Details:
Join the Smithsonian National Zoo Live Animal Viewing Party, a dynamic virtual event exclusively for new Daisy Girl Scouts, taking place on June 27 at multiple locations, including Zionsville, Founder's Lodge, and Hendricks County. Participants will have the unique opportunity to see incredible animals up close, engage with zoo experts, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes adventure. Prior to the livestream, girls will learn about animal communication through movement, mirroring human expression found in dance forms such as ballet, tap, and hip hop. They will then get active by creatively interpreting animal movements through their own dance. The event costs $2, which includes a snack and a fun patch. Non-Girl Scouts can register on-site as well. For program inquiries, contact designated emails for each location or reach out to Customer Care at 317.924.6800 for registration questions. Attendees must be accompanied by a registered adult, and each troop should maintain proper adult supervision in line with Safety Activity Checkpoint guidelines. Leaders and adults are encouraged to actively participate, and unregistered adults, siblings, or other Girl Scouts are kindly requested not to attend.
