Details:
How do we hear? What happens inside our ears when sound travels? Join us for a hands-on experience with Purdue's Accessible Precision Audiology Research Center where Girl Scouts will dive into the inner workings of the ear, learn about hearing health, and even receive a hearing screening. This engaging program connects science to real life while introducing careers in healthcare and audiology with STEM professionals! This event is open to all ages and every participant will receive a fun patch. Girl Scouts can also work towards earning their STEM Career Exploration badge (not included, but available as an add-on) Notes: Get ready for some family fun! Siblings and non-Girl Scout buddies are invited to join in the excitement of this family-friendly event. To help us plan accordingly, please register all attending individuals (youth and adults) in advance. Please use Family Guests to register additional youth participants. For the safety and supervision of our participants, each troop is responsible for ensuring they have enough adults present to meet Activity Safety Checkpoints. Those attending individually also need to be accompanied by an adult. Location: Forsythe Community Center @ Terre Haute Questions: Event Specific: Contact Jaime @ jhubbard@girlscoutsindiana.org Registration: Customer Care @ customercare@girlscoutsindiana.org or 317.924.6800
