Join us for a comprehensive event that combines a Plant Healthcare Workshop focused on Dangerous Pests with an informative Tree Tour exploring the History and Change on the Beltline. This workshop, organized by the American Public Gardens Association in collaboration with the University of Georgia Extension and Trees Atlanta, equips volunteers and greenspace stewards with the skills to detect and manage harmful pests threatening Atlanta’s urban forest, such as the emerald ash borer and Asian longhorn beetle. Participants will learn to recognize, monitor, and combat these invasive species, helping to protect local plants and ecosystems. Following the workshop, embark on a Tree Tour that highlights the historical significance and transformative changes along the Beltline, enriching your understanding of Atlanta's green spaces.
