Creekside with Hannah Welborn-Lewis

Join us for an environmental education program rooted in recognizing one of our most important resources—water! Participants will engage in interactive, water-related activities and learn about the importance of protecting water quality. From examining macroinvertebrates to assess stream health to hands-on activities exploring water pollution, participants will discover how humans can play a positive role in protecting our watershed. The program will be led by Hannah Welborn-Lewis, the current Miss Central Carolina. Hannah is from Archdale and created Water Works to emphasize the importance of protecting local waterways. She previously worked with the City of Greensboro Water Resources and currently works for the Haw River Assembly, an environmental nonprofit that provides environmental education and citizen science programs.
