Join us for Artists of the Forest, a celebration of creativity inspired by the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
Spend the day exploring the Appalachian Forest Museum and surrounding trails while enjoying plein air artists painting in the forest, live music, face painting, and arts and crafts. Visit interactive nature journaling stations designed to help you slow down, observe, and create—including one led by author Carol Hunsberger, creator of Andi’s Everyday Adventures.
Meet author Shauna Weyrauch for interactive storytelling from The Boy and the Bobcat, along with fun activities and fascinating facts about one of Appalachia’s most elusive wild neighbors.
Whether you prefer to paint, write, listen, create, or simply wander and take it all in, Artists of the Forest is an opportunity to celebrate nature’s beauty and bring home a little inspiration of your own.
When you’re ready to bring your inspiration home, grab an art kit complete with colored pencils, paint, paper, and a handmade nature journal to continue creating long after the day ends. Carol Hunsberger’s books will also be available to take home and enjoy.
