In this Workshop: Tiny Dolls, Characters & Critters
Give your miniature worlds some personality with handmade residents! In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create small-scale dolls, characters, and critters from simple materials such as wire, fabric, polymer clay, and felt. We’ll cover basic armature building, shaping and assembling parts, and adding facial features, clothing, and accessories. Whether you make a whimsical animal, a tiny person, or a fantastical creature, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind character to inhabit your miniature scene.
Hands-On Activity:
Participants will choose a character type—human, animal, or fantasy creature—and build it from provided materials. Techniques will include shaping a wire or pipe-cleaner frame, adding body form, and creating clothing or fur/feathers with fabric and felt.
