Details:
Curious about students’ experiences with this year’s Aims Read selection? Want to know what happens when common read theory meets practice in the actual classroom? A panel of Aims instructors will share how they have incorporated the current Aims Read (Gather Me, by Glory Edim) in their classes and how their students have responded thus far. Get insight, diverse perspectives, and inspiration for adopting concepts from the book in your own classroom communities, regardless of discipline.
For faculty who haven’t yet found the opportunity to engage with the 2025-26 Aims Read (Gather Me, by Glory Edim), this session is the perfect time to get started! There is still plenty of time to explore the book and create classroom activities for your students because the Read team is piloting a two-year cycle for our common text. The new cycle means that Gather Me will still be the Aims Read in fall 2026.
You can help reinforce and unite our Aims community by getting yourself and others ALL IN the pages of a common book, ALL IN a common conversation.
Have you requested your FREE copy of the book? Complete this form, and we’ll get it to you quickly, in the format of your choice. Faculty can also complete the form to request classroom copies for their students if they plan to incorporate the book in some way for their summer and/or fall semesters.
Find more information about Gather Me, including teaching resources on the Aims Read webpage.
