Literary & Reading Book Club: What Is the What by Dave Eggers

Join us at the Granville Center for the Arts on Sunday, June 28, at 1:00 pm for our Literary & Reading Book Club, where we will delve into "What Is the What" by Dave Eggers. This powerful and deeply moving novel tells the story of Valentino Achak Deng, one of the "Lost Boys" of Sudan, exploring themes of survival, resilience, and identity against a backdrop of unimaginable hardship. Additionally, we will offer an optional discussion of Michael Pollan's nonfiction work, "A World Appears: A Journey into Consciousness," which explores the mysteries of consciousness through a blend of science, history, and personal experience.
