Natural History of the Oregon Trail w/John Jackson of Bugs-R-Us, 3+YRS

This discussion will cover the basics of the Applegate and Oregon Trails, as well as the animals, plants, and geology encountered by the settlers. You will learn about game animals as well as predators. And the best part is the petting-- of hides, horns, and feathersfrom the mammals and birds that we discuss. Each student receives a detailed Oregon Trail historical map and an activity page at the end of the program.
