Details:
George Drake, M.D., a member of the Michiana Astronomical Society (MAS), will be giving a presentation on telescopes and how to use them. He will describe the many types of astronomical telescopes used by amateur and professional astronomers and will have several telescopes on hand to illustrate the types most commonly used by amateur astronomers. There will be a discussion of the principles by which they operate and some astronomical history regarding their development. Additionally, the MAS will be presenting a telescope to the Cass District Library. This program is geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome to attend. No registration required.
