Artist-led Workshop: Art Nouveau-Inspired Hand Lettering

Join GRAM Studio and explore the art of hand-lettering with mixed-media artist, Katie Reitemeier. Inspired by Decadent Spirit: French Art at the Turn of the Century, this workshop invites participants to practice foundational hand‑lettering techniques, exploring form, rhythm, and style reminiscent of the elegant scripts and decorative design of French art at the turn of the 19th century.
After honing your skills you’ll create a finished piece featuring a phrase of your choice on French cotton rag paper. For an added touch of fin‑de‑siècle (end of the century) flair, you’ll have the option to incorporate decorative gold leaf into your composition.
This session invites you to slow down, appreciate the craftsmanship of beautiful lettering, and transform meaningful words into a work of art that reflects both personal expression and the liberating spirit of the period.
