Celebrate International Waterfall Day and America’s 250th Anniversary at Smith Falls State Park the evening of Saturday, June 13!
Shortly after the sun goes down, Nebraska’s tallest waterfall will light up the night until midnight. Throughout the evening, enjoy educational programming, riverside chats, music and night sky viewing. This is the only night of the year that Smith Falls is accessible after sunset!
Activities
7 p.m. – Story time with Conservation Officer Dana Miller
7:30 & 8 p.m. – Two guided hikes by National Park Service rangers with the Niobrara National Scenic River
9:30 p.m. – Smith Falls lighting ceremony
A valid Nebraska state park vehicle permit is required for entry.
