Yoga & Tea

Details:

Yoga & Tea with Kristin Toledo
Start your week with intention, movement, and community.

Yoga & Tea is a gentle, grounding, trauma-informed practice designed to welcome every body, every experience level, and every stage of your journey. This class emphasizes accessibility, self-awareness, and choice, encouraging the use of props, modifications, and mindful movement so you can explore your physical and inner "edges" in a way that feels supportive and sustainable.
Each session begins with a brief community check-in before flowing into a practice that is co-created based on the energy, needs, and intentions of those present. Whether you're stepping onto a mat for the first time or have been practicing for years, you'll find a welcoming space to reconnect with yourself, breathe deeply, and move with presence.
Your guide for this journey is Kristin Toledo, a RYT-200 certified yoga teacher with trauma-informed training through Satya Yoga Co-Op. A beloved member of The Karma House community since 2021, Kristin brings warmth, compassion, and authenticity to her teaching, creating a space where participants feel safe, supported, and empowered to listen to their bodies.
About The Karma House
The Karma House is a community-centered tea and kava bar dedicated to connection, creativity, wellness, and belonging. We host a wide variety of events, classes, workshops, performances, and gatherings designed to bring people together in meaningful ways.
Kava, one of our signature offerings, is a traditional beverage prepared from the root of the kava plant (Piper methysticum). For thousands of years, kava has been used ceremonially and socially throughout many Pacific Island cultures, including those of Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, and Samoa. We offer kava with deep respect and gratitude for the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded these traditions and shared them with the world.
Donation-Based Class
This class is donation-based and pay-what-you-can. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Donations go directly to Kristin and can be given at the time of class.
Bring a yoga mat if you have one, wear comfortable clothing, and come exactly as you are.
