Kumihimo is a traditional Japanese art of braiding, meaning “gathered threads,” which creates strong, intricate, and colorful cords using specialized looms. Historically, these braids secured samurai armor and kimono sashes (obijime), and they are now used in jewelry making, crafts, and decorative art.
Learn traditional technique together in this hands-on braiding workshop.
