At the sacred confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers
Join us as we gather in ceremony to honor the waters that sustain all life. Across cultures and throughout history, water has been recognized as a living relative—a source of healing, remembrance, and renewal. Together we will offer our voices, our hearts, and our prayers in gratitude for these sacred rivers.
This is a participatory ceremony. Andrew and Monica will simply hold and protect the sacred space—this is your ceremony as much as ours. Whether you have walked many spiritual paths or none at all, you are welcome.
What to Bring
A chair
A drum (if you have one—drums will also be provided)
Sacred altar items that represent your prayers, ancestors, family, or spiritual path
Flower petals for our closing water procession
A potluck dish or non-alcoholic beverage to share
An open heart
Ceremony Flow
We will begin by creating a community altar where each person is invited to place their sacred items and prayers. Water from the Willamette and Columbia Rivers will be respectfully gathered and placed upon the altar as symbols of life, unity, and blessing.
Together we will:
Create our shared sacred altar
Drum, sing, chant, and dance in celebration
Offer prayers, songs, and messages from the heart
Share moments of silence and reflection
Build an intentional community rhythm as one circle
Process together to the banks of the river with flowers, drums, and song
Return the blessed waters to the river, carrying our prayers back into the living waters
May this ceremony remind us to live in harmony with the Earth, to honor one another, and to remember that we are all connected.
