Get creative and build something useful in this hands-on Fun Friday MakerClass at Area 59! Participants will assemble and customize their own laser-cut wooden pencil box while exploring how modern makers use digital design and laser technology to create detailed projects.
Students will learn how laser-cut pieces fit together, assemble their box, and personalize it with decorative details to make it uniquely their own. These stylish pencil boxes are perfect for storing school supplies, art materials, desk treasures, and more.
This beginner-friendly class combines creativity, design, and hands-on building in a fun and welcoming makerspace environment.
No prior experience is required and all materials are included.
Ages: Recommended for students entering 5th grade and up independently. Younger makers are welcome with a participating adult.
