The Jeffrey W. & Jo Anne R. Coy Public Library of Shippensburg, housed in the historic George Stewart house, offers a variety of free library services and materials to area residents. The library provides adult fiction and nonfiction collections, DVDs, and audiobooks on its first floor, which also features a dedicated children's wing with books, toys, and family reading spaces, as well as a community room. The second floor houses teen and reference collections. The library blends modern technology with its historic setting, offering Wi-Fi and public computers with internet access. It hosts weekly activities for all ages, including children's storytimes and teen programs, and the Friends of the Library sponsor events for adults and families. The library's mission is to meet the cultural, educational, and informational needs of the community, fostering lifelong learning and providing access to information and technology.
