Gabriel Sanchez Carpio: Cuero | Appell Arts Fellowship Exhibition

Join us for the Appell Arts Fellowship and Powder Mill Foundation Arts Fellowship Exhibitions, featuring the works of Gabriel Sanchez Carpio and Marcos Repollé, on display from June 4 to July 4, 2026.

Gabriel Sanchez Carpio's exhibition, "Cuero," explores Caribbean cultural syncretism and the interplay between modern life and the mystical through a series of narrative paintings. Attend the artist talk on June 4 at 5 p.m. and the opening reception on June 5 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Simultaneously, Marcos Repollé presents a mixed media exhibition that showcases his diverse artistic skills, with an artist talk scheduled for June 12 at 5 p.m. and an opening reception on June 5 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Both exhibitions celebrate the culmination of the 11-month artist residencies awarded to recent York College graduates, featuring their innovative creative works.
