Buddha Meditation Center (also known as Mahamevnawa Meditation Center of Greater Washington, D.C.) is a part of the ancient Theravada Buddhist tradition. Our aim is to share the great teachings of the Gauthama Buddha and his techniques of meditation with you. Our activities include meditation programs, children's and youth programs, day-long practice programs, daily chanting and blessing, and Dhamma sermons, led by practicing Buddhist monks.
