Butterfly Release Experience

Join us for the enchanting Butterfly Release Experience at the Butterfly Bungalow, happening weekly on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to Noon. During this special behind-the-scenes event, participants will assist in welcoming our newest butterflies by releasing them into the exhibit. Seated amidst hundreds of free-flying butterflies, you’ll carefully open protective envelopes and watch as each butterfly embarks on its first moments in this vibrant new home. Since some butterflies take flight immediately while others take their time to stretch their wings, every release is a unique experience.

To ensure an intimate and memorable experience, the Butterfly Bungalow will be closed to the public, allowing only 10 participants in each small-group session. The butterfly release will last about 15–20 minutes, with an allowance of up to 30 minutes for you to fully enjoy this magical moment. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to maximize your time inside the exhibit. Admission for the event is $10, in addition to garden admission or membership.
