𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐑𝐔𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃:
Indian Run Stringband, from Blacksburg, VA, is led by Ginger Wagner on banjo and Paul Herling on fiddle. They have been playing old-time music since the 1970’s learning from players like Tommy Jarrell and Albert Hash. The band formed in 2010 and regularly plays square dances and events throughout the New River Valley.

There is so much to do at Peaks of Otter. Visitors can camp or stay the night at the historic lodge, dine in the restaurant, tour Johnson Farm and Polly Wood’s Ordinary, take a stroll around Abbott Lake, hike a trail, or take in a concert. Milepost Music concerts are held the second Sunday of the month, June through September, near the banks of Abbott Lake. In case of rain, concerts may be moved to the event room at the restaurant.

The Blue Ridge Music Center’s Milepost Music brings free concerts by local and regional artists to locations along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. No tickets are needed. Bring a chair and a picnic lunch. No alcohol permitted on site.
