Details:
Join us for a day of community engagement and environmental stewardship! Our **Volunteer Day: Native Plant Propagation** invites adults and children aged 12 and up (with an adult) to assist Habitat Specialist Andrew Eberly in repotting native seedlings into larger pots. This event is free of charge, and participants are encouraged to bring gardening gloves if desired. Please note that registration is required, and if your plans change, notify us promptly so we can accommodate others.
Additionally, we welcome Friends of the Clifton Institute to explore our field station during **Open-access Days** every Saturday from mid-January to mid-October. To become a Friend, a minimum annual donation of $40 is appreciated to support our educational and ecological initiatives. Visitors are encouraged to walk our trails, enjoy the natural environment, and report any interesting findings while adhering to our rules.
The farmhouse remains closed, but port-a-potties are available at both parking lots. Remember, all participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and we ask everyone to practice "leave no trace" principles by taking their litter home and respecting the ecosystem.
Please be aware of our COVID-19 policies and weather-related updates before attending. We look forward to seeing you at the Clifton Institute, where your participation helps us in our mission to enhance conservation and education!
