Tacos & Traditions: Mexican Food Cook Off Concan, TX

Tacos & Traditions is BACK for year two!
Mark your calendars for October 9–10, 2026, because we’re bringing a full weekend of food, fun, competition, and live entertainment back to Riverbend on the Frio!
This year, we’re making the weekend even bigger. Friday night will kick things off with a portion of our Tacos & Traditions Cook-Off, followed by live wrestling with the Dwarfanators at 7:00pm!
Then Saturday, the competition continues with the rest of our cook-off categories, live mariachi music, family fun, a Jalapeno Eating Competition, and a Grito Contest.
Cook-off categories include:
Carne Guisada, Spanish Rice, Charro Beans, Beef Enchiladas, Flour Tortillas, Salsa, Guacamole, Elote, Margaritas, and Mexican-Inspired Dessert.
Entry is just $10 per category, and you can enter one category or take on as many as you’d like!
We are also excited to be working locally this year to support Utopia Firework show.
Whether you’re coming to compete, eat, cheer, dance, or just enjoy the weekend—we hope you’ll join us for the 2nd Annual Tacos & Traditions!
