Join us for the Wet Felted Wool Lampshade Workshop on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10 AM to 4 PM, led by Betsey Leslie of Ewes to You Farm in New Gloucester. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the Nuno Felting technique, combining sheer silk fabric with hand-dyed wool fiber, soap, and water to create beautiful 13” barrel lampshades. All materials are provided, including silk fabric, wool, a felting stone, double-sided tape, and felting needles (as needed). All you need to bring is a towel, your lunch, and your creativity! This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, and Betsey will guide you through the process to bring your vision to life. Enjoy a fun, educational experience amidst the peaceful surroundings of Shaker Village. The class size is limited to 8 participants, and Friends of the Shakers members receive a $5 discount. Plus, save an additional $10 if you bring your own felting stone! Don't miss this chance to create a unique lampshade and learn a new craft.
