Join us for a Punch Needle Embroidery Workshop on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9 AM to 3 PM, led by instructor and artist Bonnie Faulkner. This engaging class introduces the enjoyable art of Punch Needle Embroidery, a gentle technique that's friendly for aging and arthritic hands, akin to rug hooking. Participants will use a hoop, embroidery floss, and a special needle to create their designs on weaver’s cloth, often described as "painting with thread." You can choose to bring your own design or select from several options provided by the instructor, working on a 4” x 4” piece. Please remember to bring a small pair of scissors and your eyeglasses! All tools and materials will be supplied, and you'll take home a punch needle and hoop to continue your creative journey. Class size is limited to 10 participants. Current members of The Friends of the Shakers can enjoy a $5 discount on the workshop fee—don’t forget to sign up or renew for your discount!
