Details:
Join us for a Kombucha Making workshop on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1pm to 2:30pm. Discover the delicious and tangy world of this naturally fermented tea, which is a tasty alternative to soda and great for your digestive health. Under the guidance of Julia Walters, owner of Snapdragon Homestead in North Yarmouth, you will learn about the fermentation process and create your own batch from scratch. Each participant will take home a SCOBY (or Mother) and a one-gallon glass jar to start their kombucha journey. This beginner-friendly class has a maximum of 12 students and requires no prior experience. Current members of The Friends of the Shakers receive a $5 discount on the workshop fees. Consider pairing this session with our morning Yogurt Making workshop for a full day of hands-on learning – just remember to bring your lunch!
