June — Shrublands & Powerline Corridors
Early summer brings shrublands into full expression, especially in powerline corridors, old fields, and regenerating landscapes. This webinar explores native shrub species—particularly dogwoods and viburnums—and the plant communities they define. Participants will learn how disturbance, mowing regimes, and soil conditions shape these habitats, and how shrublands provide critical structure for nesting birds, pollinators, and early-season fruit production.
This program will be recorded and available to registrants within a week.
You will be emailed a Zoom link 24 hours before and again 30 minutes before the start of the program. Registration is required to receive the link. Please plan to join 10 minutes before the program starts.
