Stephanie Atkins

Maine-based songwriter Stephanie Atkins, recognized as the 2021 "Emerging Artist of the Year," returns to Cadenza for an intimate evening of acoustic music and storytelling. After a successful career in professional acting, she transitioned to songwriting in 2017 and has since released two albums, "Skinny Jean Bonfire" (2019) and "Promise Street" (2021). Her music has garnered attention in Maine Women’s Magazine, on WCLZ radio, and in the Portland Press Herald, and has begun to attract interest from Nashville's Music Row producers. As a member of ASCAP and NSAI, Steph actively performs her contemporary folk and Americana material across various venues, including the renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. At this event, she will share her latest songs in the welcoming atmosphere of Cadenza, accompanied by Gerard Carey for a few songs.
