The Frederick Center, Inc. is an organization founded in 2012 with the vision of being a leading resource and advocacy group for the LGBTQ+ community in central Maryland. Their mission is to support, educate, connect, organize, and provide outreach to the LGBTQ+ community and its allies in Frederick. The center hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year, including drag shows, bingo, brunches, and social networking events, catering to all ages from youth to adults. They offer peer support groups for various needs, such as youth groups, a group for adults who came out later in life, and a support group for individuals living with HIV. Additionally, The Frederick Center provides resources, educational materials, and a local business directory to support and affirm the LGBTQ+ community.
