Find friendship and fulfillment while helping the earth!
Join us for some golden hour stewardship on your Wednesday evening and help us pick up litter at Coggins Bend in Franklin. This a rich oxbow wetland on the Little T protects a population of hemlocks, which are an important yet declining tree species in WNC, as well as provides habitat to many species of birds, mammals, amphibians, fish, and plants. During this event, we will also be treating the hemlocks to defend them against the invasive pest Hemlock Wooly Adelgid.
This workday will occur from 6:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, June 10th. All tools will be provided, just bring yourself, your water bottle, closed-toed shoes, and long pants. Email Paige at pyelen@mainspringconserves.org to RSVP and receive exact meeting location.
