Savers Safari

Join North Georgia Credit Union at Lake Hartwell Wildlife Safari from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24 for Savers Safari, a FREE wild summer learning adventure for youth. Participants will enjoy a guided safari bus tour, explore the walkabout petting zoo and budgie experience, and take part in a hands-on “Needs vs. Wants” activity where children will learn how both animals and people need certain things to stay healthy and safe, and how saving helps us prepare for the things we want.
Kids will:

Ride through the safari on a guided bus tour

Visit the budgie experience and petting zoo

Participate in a fun “Needs vs. Wants” financial literacy activity

Enjoy lunch and picnic time

Explore and learn about animals from around the world
Event Details:
• Ages 12 and under (older siblings welcome too!)
• FREE program | Limited to 25 youth participants
• Due to limited seating on the safari bus, participation is limited to one parent/guardian/youth leader per family group.
• Parent/guardian/youth leader must stay during the event.

This program includes outdoor walking, animal interactions, and hands-on activities. While all ages are welcome, parents/guardians should consider their child’s comfort level around animals and outdoor environments. Younger children are welcome to attend with siblings, but portions of the program may be best suited for children able to participate in group activities with adult assistance as needed.
