Honoring Boone County, Indiana Revolutionary War Patriots Join us as Boone County comes together to honor our Revolutionary War patriots through a series of wreath-laying ceremonies held at historic cemeteries and locations across the county. These ceremonies recognize the men who served in the Revolutionary War and are buried right here in Boone County. All ceremonies begin at noon on the following dates and locations: • January 22, 2026 – Cox Hill Cemetery • February 5, 2026 – Pleasant View Cemetery • March 11, 2026 – Beck, Gipson, and Bethel Cemeteries • April 14, 2026 – Mechanicsburg and Hopewell Cemeteries • May 6, 2026 – Mt. Tabor Cemetery • June 4, 2026 – Lane, Mt. Runn, and Wheatley Cemeteries • June 24, 2026 – Boone County Courthouse Square These wreath-laying ceremonies are part of the America 250 initiative, commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Together, we honor the sacrifices of Boone County’s local patriots whose service helped shape our nation.
