The founding of the United States and Kentucky was a revolutionary experiment in self-governance. Throughout the week, campers will delve into the lives of Kentucky’s founding mothers and fathers and explore how the Revolution influenced our state!
Campers will:
• Visit historic sites in downtown Frankfort
• View colonial artifacts in the archives of the Kentucky Historical Society
• Investigate the diverse groups that inhabited Kentucky prior to Colonial settlement
• Experience frontier life through hands-on activities like printmaking and quilting
Join us in celebrating America’s 250th birthday while discovering the rich beginnings of Kentucky!
*This camp is designed for children between the ages of 10 and 13.
